Small labels for all sectors and products
Whether it’s face oil, cream, ginger shot or pesto, many products from a wide variety of sectors are packaged in small bottles, jars or tins. And these small packages too need a label that is not only visually appealing, but also adheres reliably and doesn’t unroll. At the same time, of course, the label needs to be large enough for all ingredient and manufacturer information to be printed legibly. We therefore recommend a minimum format of 20 x 20 mm.
Small format labels–Supports
This is particularly important for small packages. The label must stick reliably and not come off the product. We therefore recommend not choosing heavy-weight materials, such as our Cotton Touch Paper or Vergé Paper.
To find out which material is right for your product and application, it’s best to consult our free sample book. It contains examples of pre-cut and partially coated labels on our standard substrates. You can easily peel them off, stick them on your products and test the suitability of the substrate and adhesive.

Free form and design
You can also design small labels to suit your own personal taste and imagination. Choose from round, square or completely customized shapes. You can also opt for different forms such as sealing labels, collars and wrap-around labels. From the shape to the print and any finishing touches, the choice is yours. Small labels can also be customized and individualized, for example with a unique QR code or a unique name on each label. Digital printing makes this possible, as there’s no need to manufacture a printing plate; the print file is transmitted directly to the machine. As a result, each label can have a different appearance.
Non-stick varnish
For labels on cylindrical packaging, release varnish is an effective and useful alternative to multilayer labels. Thanks to this varnish, the printing surface is much larger than your product’s packaging would allow. This means you can print a lot of information on your label without having to worry about lack of space or the text size.
Non-stick varnish is an invisible silicone-based varnish applied after printing. It enables the label to be rolled onto itself without being permanently glued. In this way, overlapping elements can still be glued to and removed from each other.
Films and other smooth substrates are best suited to the use of release varnish. By using a transparent printing substrate, you can combine the advantages of release varnish with those of sandwich printing. This creates even more printing surface on your label.
