Personalized barcode labels

At labelletiquette.fr, we can print barcodes and QR codes on your roll labels and advertising stickers. You can send us the barcodes either directly as part of your print file, or as a separate table. For your barcode labels, in addition to a wide range of papers and films, we also offer a variety of adhesives with different properties–permanent adhesion, removable without residue, water-soluble, and suitable for freezing.

For continuous numbering of your barcode labels, simply indicate the numbering range. For irregular numbering, please send us a table with the corresponding data. Barcode labels–whether EAN 13, code 128, code 39 or QR codes–are no problem for us, thanks to digital printing.

Barcode labels

What is a barcode?

A barcode is a set of machine-readable data. Most of the time, barcodes are used to describe the details of your product. If a barcode is not printed correctly, it cannot be scanned automatically. This can lead to difficulties and high costs for your business. An ideal barcode label is one that represents the data correctly, is printed in the right size and shape, and can be read by a machine without any problems!

As a general rule, we recommend a minimum width of 32 mm and a height of 20 mm. Don’t forget that you also need to provide space, a resting area, around the barcode.

Different types of barcode :

EAN 13
EAN 5
GS1-128

GS1 Datamatrix

When do I need barcodes?

If you sell your products commercially, you need barcodes on your labels. Meanwhile, many online retailers also require barcodes on their products.

To put it simply, a barcode is the visual representation of a unique numeric commercial code. To order a barcode label, you need to provide us with your unique trade code, and we can then easily create your barcodes and print them on your labels. You need a GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) from GS1 France. The GTIN consists of a base number, an individual number and a check digit. New companies can register their retail barcodes here: www.gs1.fr/

Can I print multicolored barcode labels?

Printing multicolor barcode labels is entirely possible, but we recommend labels with a classic black barcode, as barcode labels need as much contrast as possible to make them easy to read. A black barcode on a white background is the most tried-and-tested combination. As a general rule, the background of the barcode should be very bright, but without metallic reflections, and the bars should be dark and contrasting with the chosen background. Please also note that you need to place light areas around the barcode and leave a safety margin of at least 8 mm from the edge. Read all about the size, color and placement of your barcode here: GS1 France.
