Mandatory information on the label of your spirit drink

When it comes to food and beverage labels in particular, labels must not only be convincing in terms of their appearance, but must also meet informative and, in part, technical requirements. They are essential to the success of labelling, whether manual or mechanical. The information provided on the label is intended to protect the consumer. Mandatory label elements must be affixed to or around the bottle in such a way that they cannot be removed. They must be directly visible, easily understood, legible and indelible on the bottle. The name and address of the manufacturer, the sales name and the alcoholic strength must be visible at a glance, i.e. in the same field of vision.

Here is a summary of the required information:

• Batch number
• Nominal quantity
