Can I stick labels directly onto food?

Direct contact with food – What you should be aware of :

Unfortunately, our self-adhesive labels are not suitable for direct contact with foodstuffs, such as apples. This is because our digital printing inks are unfortunately not food-compatible. However, in the case of indirect contact, for example on other packaging, our labels are compatible.
