Who are you and what makes you special?

My name is Marion and I’m 37. I like working in a team with very different people and departments, and it’s very varied. As I like organizing and coordinating, this job is a perfect match for my interests and skills. What’s more, I’m not afraid to make decisions and try things out.

What’s your career path?

After completing my bachelor’s degree with a major in economics, I decided to train as a digital and print media designer, specializing in media design.

However, in order not to stop there and to continue my personal development, I decided to train as a media specialist alongside my work. After my first parental leave and back at work, I had the chance to turn customer complaints into something positive for the company. I documented and analyzed our mistakes in order to improve our processes and ourselves. After a second period of parental leave, I joined the production management team and am currently mainly responsible for production planning and staff allocation, as well as being available to production for any questions and assisting our quality assurance team in difficult cases.

How did you discover labelletiquette.fr?

In 2009, I started working for the Nilles printing works as a graphic designer, which enabled me to accompany labelletiquette.fr from the outset. Just after my final exam, I landed at the then Nilles printing works, where I briefly consolidated the technical basics of the trade that I had to learn in theory for the exam. I quickly realized that I felt much more at home in this field than in the world of design. The idea of breathing the air of the printing industry changed in 15 years. I had the opportunity to see how labelletiquette.fr was born from an idea. I had the opportunity to participate in the creation of the logo and to follow every step of the company’s creation.

What’s your role at labelletiquette.fr?

After my second parental leave, I got involved in production management. I plan customer orders, determine the running order of the machines in our fleet, and monitor delivery deadlines and specific customer requests, in consultation with the customer service department. I’m always available to answer production questions, make quality decisions or provide information.

My training as a graphic designer enables me to master graphics software and check that our customers’ files are suitable for production and, if necessary, suggest alternative or more effective solutions. By working closely with machine operators, I can best assess the feasibility or effect of a finish on a label.

What makes your work so special?

The diversity of tasks and the freedom to make decisions. Discovering new machines, with their possibilities and challenges, thanks to new technologies, and being able to make mistakes that help us grow.

What’s special about my work is the team that supports each other: for me, they’re not just work colleagues, many of them have become friends.

I like coming to work every day, I don’t feel like I’m working. I like what I can do here. We’re a team of such different people who, together, with their strengths and weaknesses, are moving something great forward, and in all this dynamism no one is left out. Everyone has the opportunity to express themselves and contribute their strengths. Over the last few years, we’ve managed to create an incredible cohesion that helps us stay focused, develop our strengths and achieve our goals.

What has been your highlight at labelletiquette.fr so far?

There’s no particular moment I can mention here. In fact, my greatest strength is the trust people place in me. I also appreciate the opportunities offered to me, whether it’s a work-life balance with two children and a management position, or assignments that encourage my personal development.
