Who are you and what makes you special?
My name is Katharina and I’m 29 years old. I’d say my outgoing nature and highly developed sense of humor are a big part of my personality. I also like to laugh a lot, and very loudly, much to the annoyance of my colleagues.
In addition to my passion for laughter, I love everything to do with writing. I love reading and I love writing just as much. My favorite genres are dystopian fiction, fantasy and feminist literature – I love diversity.
What’s your career path?
After graduating from high school, I moved to Trier to study English and German language and literature. So far, my career path has been marked mainly by part-time jobs in the service and retail sectors, which I’ve held alongside my studies. I’ve (almost) always enjoyed working with people, which has also shaped my personality.

After deciding it was time to leave my retail job, I applied for a job at labelletiquette.fr, among others. It was a very spontaneous decision, and I’m extremely happy and grateful that I made it. I was initially hired as a student employee, and since graduating I’ve been a full-time employee.
How did you discover labelletiquette.fr?
After graduating, I decided I didn’t want to work in retail anymore. So I took advantage of a counselling interview offered by the employment agency’s special student service (highly recommended for anyone unsure of what direction to take their career after graduation). I was shown a number of different professions and career paths. They also recommended an employment agency website where I could search for job offers that matched my training. That’s how I came across an ad for labelletiquette.fr, which was looking for a copywriter in the field of online digital marketing. It seemed almost too good to be true. So I applied.
As soon as I went for the interview, I felt very comfortable and hoped with all my heart for a positive response. Fortunately, this was not long in coming. Shortly afterwards, I was invited for a trial period. Apparently I made a good impression, because shortly afterwards I was able to sign my employment contract. I’m now a student employee in digital marketing.
What’s your role at labelletiquette.fr and what’s your working day like?
I’m responsible for creating and modifying content for our English domain. This means that I manage the home pages, optimize them to improve their position in search engines, prepare publications for social networks and write regular blog posts. I’m also responsible for e-mail marketing within the company, so I also write a newsletter every month.
I also oversee the sending of newsletters for the other markets we serve. I work closely with my international colleagues and advise them from time to time on their strategies and content, while monitoring click and open rates. This enables me to provide them with both qualitative and quantitative feedback and contribute to the success of their e-mailing strategies. So every day is a little different.
What makes your work so special?
For me, what’s special is that I can work largely independently. This gives me the feeling of being trusted, which is of course very pleasant. What’s more, there are always opportunities to improve and expand or modify my tasks.
This dynamic atmosphere means that I enjoy going to work every day.
… and labelletiquette.fr as an employer?
labelletiquette.fr is the first employer where I really feel like an individual and where I notice that my state of mind, my health, etc. are important and taken seriously. In my experience, this can’t be taken for granted. This appreciation is also reflected in the relationships within the whole team. Everyone is respectful, friendly and open. This creates a working atmosphere where everyone can be themselves.
What has been your highlight at labelletiquette.fr so far?
labelletiquette.fr so far? There have been many moments that could lay claim to that title. But my latest highlight was the last business trip, during which we visited two trade shows where digital marketing experts gathered and discussed all sorts of topics. I learned a lot during those two days, and have already been able to put some things into practice!
