For the opaque white layer to be printed correctly, it’s extremely important to name it exactly“HPI-White“. This is the only way our HP Indigo press can recognize the backing white and print it correctly. It doesn’t matter what color you give the layer in the view. You can give the layer any color you like.
To dispel any remaining uncertainties regarding the application of opaque white, we explain in our video tutorials how to proceed step by step:
1. Creating opaque white on transparent labels in Adobe Illustrator CC
2. Creating opaque white on metallic labels in Adobe Illustrator CC
Please note: Not everything designated as“HPI-White” is automatically printed white. This of course depends on your individual layout and other settings in the print file.
On our information page, you’ll find all the important information and instructions you need to create your print file correctly.
If you’re not sure how to create opaque white correctly, you can of course always contact our customer service department. We’ll be happy to help.
