Hemp – originally sustainable

For centuries, hemp has been an important crop with a wide range of applications. It can be grown almost anywhere, with few requirements, and has many other properties.

Originally from Eastern Europe, hemp was introduced to our regions several hundred years ago. And because we’ve been growing hemp in Europe for so long, it’s been a well-known product for centuries. So we know how to use every part of the plant: the leaves, the flowers, the fibers, the woody parts: all have a long list of uses. To name but a few: food, medicine, CBD, marijuana, but also building materials, rope, tarpaulin, paper and textiles. It’s also one of the world’s most sustainable crops: hemp can grow almost anywhere, and can even be harvested several times a year. And all without the use of fertilizers, pesticides or other chemicals.

And since we need to move towards a sustainable society, it’s not surprising that, after a period when it was less popular, hemp is making a comeback. A labeling material made from hemp is, of course, a must!

An uncoated, matt, wood-free white paper with 50% hemp fiber and 50% FSC® (FSC Recycled Credit) certified paper.
Hemp paper is a sustainable alternative to traditional wood pulp paper, using hemp from France and Germany.

This sustainable paper helps to reduce your ecological footprint, on the way to a more sustainable and circular economy.
This material reinforces your ecological image and is therefore perfectly suited to products that emphasize respect for the environment and naturalness, such as organic products and natural cosmetics. What’s more, the label’s thick surface lends itself perfectly to embossing!

For prices and orders: you can calculate the price of your labels on hemp paper directly in our online calculator. Select hemp paper from the ” Media ” list.

Ocean Bound – helping to clean up plastic waste

Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP) is a collection of plastic waste of all shapes and sizes found less than 50 km from the coast, in places where waste management is non-existent or ineffective. This waste is therefore likely to enter the ocean via the wind or rivers, hence the name “ocean-bound plastic”. In fact, it is estimated that 80% of plastic waste ends up in the oceans and seas because of OBP.

Plastic, and plastic in general, is in itself an extremely useful material for modern society: light, strong and flexible, it can be used to make anything quickly and easily.

However, the big problem with plastics is that we are totally unable to collect, let alone recycle, used plastic worldwide, with huge environmental impacts on all life on earth, including our own. There is therefore an urgent need to make the plastics life cycle completely circular. Unfortunately, this is not happening quickly so far, despite international, national and local policies and industry commitments. Unfortunately, this is not happening quickly so far, despite international, national and local policies and industry commitments. Until we are able to fully recycle all plastics, we can at least start to clean up our act!

“Ocean Bound plastic” is an initiative to collect plastic waste in places where garbage collection is not regulated. The collected plastic is then recycled and transformed into new material, including labels!

Ocean Bound label material is designed to make your packaging more sustainable and support the circular economy. Waste is collected from Asian beaches and coastal areas, then chemically recycled into a plastic with properties identical to those of standard PP. The material is ISCC PLUS* certified, making it suitable for companies wishing to underline their commitment to environmental protection. It is also suitable for the food and beverage, cosmetics and personal care, and sustainable fashion sectors. Ideal for products related to nature and the sea.

*) The ISCC is a certification system developed in Germany for renewable energies and materials.
